Reverting to Default Standard Dictionaries
This procedure creates brand new dictionaries from the master set and can be used when changes in Interlingua need to be undone. Note that doing this will undo all changes made in Interlingua, therefore be sure that you are certain you wish to proceed.
On the Workbench Server run the Workbench Configuration Manager (part of the Workbench program group) and select the [Alias] tab.
Highlight the database alias relative to the dictionaries you wish to reset. For the purpose of this knowledgebase, the Sample database is being used.
Make a note of the alias name and the full path shown in the location box. In this example the name is Sample and the path is is003-2:C:\workbench\qwb_data\Sample\Sample.fdb.
Having noted this down, press the [Delete] button and respond [Yes].
Press [Apply] and allow the Workbench services to restart (when they have restarted, the [Apply] and [ OK] buttons 'grey out'). Now press [Add].
From the notes taken earlier, re-enter the Alias into the Alias Name box and Location into the Location box. Ensure that these details match exactly those noted down. Press [Save].
Allow the services to restart once more and press the [Validate] button (it will become active once the services have restarted). The following confirmation message will be returned. Press [OK].
Exit from the Configuration Manager. When you now run Interlingua, new dictionaries will appear.
